Celebrating the Demise of Your Old Printer? Now What?

office technology

Did your old, clunky printer finally bite the dust? You may be celebrating now, because budget or no, this necessitates a replacement to that paper eating machine. So being in the situation where you need a new printer, will you choose to buy or lease your next machine? There are a few things to consider with each option. So, we will share some of our knowledge and recommendations with you today.

Leasing

Leasing comes with some great benefits if you get the right contract with the right company. The main benefit is for those who have a tight budget and simply can't afford to drop the money on their own printer. If you do go with a rental, however, make sure you understand your responsibilities and the responsibilities of the company you are renting from; some companies have unfortunate policies that could leave you with a broken machine or make breaking your lease unreasonable.

Buying

Do your research. A purchase is totally a big deal, and it is very exciting, but you don't want to end up with the wrong model. Make a list of the functionality you need, the functionality you would like, and then start your search with a price range in mind. Always be a little flexible to make sure that you get the best option for your company, and think long term when it comes to buying. Try to pick a printer that you would simply replace with the same model when it lives to a right full age.
